- KEY # 6
“The secret of your future is hidden in your daily routine”.
-Mike Murdock.
Keep a daily to-do list and establish deadlines.
Here are six pointers for making daily scheduling a useful habit: - Review thoroughly your responsibilities.
- Determine the priorities that will bring the greatest benefit to you, your family, your boss and your company.
- Create routines for the things you must do every week or everyday.
- Delegate wisely but never dump. This requires you to know specifically what your own abilities are as well as those of the people around you.
- Schedule solitude. Confer with yourself. Your opinion matters but you must get alone to discover what it really is.
- Know ahead of time the purpose and desired end of all appointments. Never schedule an open-ended appointment. Make it a habit to state the starting time and ending time.
Remember that you cannot save time. You can only spend it and successful people know how to spend it wisely. Creativity can work even within the confines of deadlines; in fact, it can work even better that way.
